football and commercials

Has anyone else out there cut down their football tv viewing because the seemingly endless commercials have just taken the fun out of it? And, yes, it is way worse than it used to be. I love watching a good football game but, to be honest, I will often opt for a good movie or series on dvd or Netflix most of the time. I really hate what has happened to television in general but football is the worst for me since you really have to watch it live. I will try to watch the semifinals but I probably won't last past the first quarter. It's a damned shame really.

Commercials suck but at least when you're home you can do something else while commercials are on. Where it really sucks is when you're at the game and just sitting there waiting for the 5 minutes of commercials to end so the game will start again.

If you can't make it past the 1st quarter of the semis you don't have a commercial problem...you just don't like football.

It's gotten to where if the game doesn't involve Bama or doesn't effect their standing, I won't watch it.

Tape the game you want to watch, start watching the game about a hour and half after kickoff on your DVR. FF through early commercials, by the time you catch up you should be start to beginning of fourth quarter.

I normally get up to get a beverage during commercial break.
