9th inning recap.

Kent State literally CAN NOT throw a strike. Loads the bases with walks. Only 1 out.

Ump starts to feel bad and gives a couple courtesy strike calls. Finally says "sorry, I have to call ball 4", BUT it just happened to be on a pitch the Florida player check swinged at.

He barely offered but his bat just kinda kept drifting. Appeal to 3rd base and he went.

Next player flies out on the first pitch. Game over #1 seed Florida elimated.

Kent State 5
Florida 4

Florida should've done more earlier in the game and they wouldn't have been in that position. Simple as that.

Yeah but that one "strike" that was six inches off the plate was bullshite.

That pissed me off.

Always love the guy that will defend an ump for a mistake by blaming team but will blame player for any mistake

The cosmic forces seem to be fricking with Florida athletics since the football/basketball run. Loaded team after loaded team in almost every sport that keep choking.

At least we have track.

Florida baseball is one of the most underachieving sports teams in the history of sport.

Nice, now Zunino can sign his contract and help a real team win a championship

Lopez's team still alive probably just pours a little more salt in the wound

Is anyone here really surprised? Seriously, what did Florida do to deserve its top national seed?

Win its division in the SEC regular season? No.
Win the SEC baseball tournament? No.

You can't make an accurate ball/strike call from a TV camera.

Good analysis from Slate:
