Didn't Kobe play a career LOW number of minutes this season? You're going to punish Kobe for playing on a better team?
They should have had to pick a PG; therefore, they should have decided on one SG. It would have been ridiculous for them to not include Wade with the season he had. Kobe made it because he is the anointed one by the media. As I said he is no better than a number of superstars.

Another reason for the timestamp edit function on this site.
ETA: But I posted before you edited, so you wouldn't have been able to get by on that one.
But alas.
I clicked to begin editing before you had posted. You beat me to it and I looked like an idiot.

6 Dirk 383
7 Duncan 378
8 Yao 354

They got the top 5 right but the next 5 are questionable IMO.

are you talking career or this season? he's top 3 career, but i believe that his single season this year is 2nd only behind one of MJ's years. lebron had a 31.7 this year and MJ's record is 31.89
eta: what i posted are hollinger's PER stats, for some reason they differ slightly from what basketballreference lists

i dont think the PER ur using includes wilt. cuz wilt is like #1,2. then mj is like 3 and wilt is 4th and lebron is 5th.... somethin like that.

i'm using hollinger's numbers. he calculates MJ's best season differently than basketballreference and he doesn't include wilt for some reason. i'd trust him over anybody else, PER is his deal

alright close enough. my point still stands tho. you dont reward a guy for playing less. and saying lebron played less is silly because he has the 4th best PER ever. if kobe had played less AND put up those numbers then it wouldnt matter.
Kobes PER this year was like #200 somethin of all time fwiw

I just don't know why you would not put a PG on the list when you have a good set of them. Kobe and Wade most always play SG. So they bumped off a legit All-NBA player to put someone on from a different position.
If the top 5 players were all forwards would be have an All-NBA team of all forwards? The answer is no.
Possible scenarios:
PG PG PG
SG SG SG
SF SF SG
PF PF PF
C PF PF
Since Lebron is a Lock and so is Howard. That puts you with the first set; Therefore
PG Paul
SG Wade
SF James
PF Nowitzki
C Howard

Paul was also hurt by the fact his team had 16 less losses than Bryant and his stats were not quite as good as Wade's. Paul like Wade is the only major weapon on their team. The other players would suffer bigtime if Wade or Paul were not there.

If you are not going to take a player at each position, then why not just take the top 5 vote getters? I think that Kobe, DWade, & CP3 all should be on the first team.
