Seems like it has gotten easier to get into NFL hall in recent years.

Would be think tagliabue gets. We didn't know how good we had it.

It has. In the mass media age any player that simply was very famous gets in, regardless of how deserving their playing career was.

Call it the Joe Namath effect.

Being a a big name in the media helps your hall of fame potential a great deal essentially.

You could argue it's the hall of "fame" so it's legit, but still, you figure it should ideally be based strictly on accomplishment.

TO should be in. Not a fan of his antics but he was dominant when he played.

Tomlinson and Warner seem to be the only slam dunks. Everyone else is a toss up.

Warner is not a slam dunk by any stretch

K Morten Andersen is as a slam dunk as slam dunks get for that position.

Sadly, that probably would pave the way for Goodell to get elected in about 20 years

Seems like any good player from a super bowl team is now a lock based solely on the fact that they are a champion.

Could see it being harder for the likes of to, Tomlinson, Brian Dawkins, and Jason Taylor among others.

That and it seems like most of the NFL statistical records have been set in the last 20 years. Modern players filling up the all time stat rankings because the game is more offense oriented than ever before

Faneca isn't a slam dunk?

6x first team all pro
2x second team all pro

Same with Mawae

7x fire team all pro
1x second team all pro

Is there anyone else on those that were at the top of their position as much as them?

Ty Law should get in. Hell the Colts were so butt hurt about his play style they lobbied the rules committee and completely changed football.

Am I the only one who's not that impressed with the HOF Finalist list? The only names who jumps off the page for me as slam dunk Hall of Famers are Tomlinson and Owens. Jerry Jones might actually be the third best Hall of Fame candidate on that list.
