Don't underestimate McNeese's ability to make this a game though.

You really are not happy with McNeese's play this year. Is Guidry just not as good as Keesler and Viator?

No, they are just undisciplined as hell on defense, and upperclassmen are making stupid decisions on offense.

There is no reason to be happy with this team right now when they lost with a piss-poor performance to Nicholls (a game they still should have won), pulled away late from a D2 school after they were up 21-0 and allowed FIT to come back, and needed a last second TD to beat an Alcorn team that is (supposedly) not very good. Even having 12 players out, I don't think that game is aky different with them.

They just haven't impressed me, and I don't think it's all coaching either. I think we just aren't the team we used to be. The late 90s and early 2000s may be the best McNeese ever had.

Maybe.....but let's not act like Nicholls played the best game in their history. Had we lost, I'd be saying the same thing. Both teams looked bad that first week of the season.

Oh, trust me, I'm not. Which is why it's even more infuriating. Nicholls is getting better, but damn it, McNeese should still be better, and was projected to finish better than Nicholls.

If our d-backs don't trip all over each other and just generally forget how to cover a guy, we win that game. If there aren't NUMEROUS, STUPID penalties...just bad play.

The difference is, Nicholls has looked good since then. McNeese has not. Hopefully that changes, but I'm surely not holding my breath this season.
