I haven't kept up with this thing too much but I personally did not find the video disturbing at all. Growing up I had hardasses for coaches and it was normal to get pushed around and chewed inside out. To me and others it built character. Maybe it just shocks people that didn't play sports or women but its tough to be a man and my father and my coaches would make the Rutgers coach look soft.

My high school basketball coach was a huge hard arse during practice and games but never pushed or threw balls at any of us

Throwing the balls at players was over of the line. Some of the pushing they showed wasn't that bad though.

It's not normal and not ok to push a kid around. And just because you went through it doesnt make it acceptable. If you can't get your point across in another way, quit coaching.

Same here. When I played basketball in junior high, my coach got in my face to yell at me, spit flying out of his mouth and all. This was nothing new because I sucked at basketball, the coach yelled at me a lot at practice. Well this day he chewed me out really bad, no personal space separation. He then threw the ball at my face with force but I was able to block it with my forearm, it bounced off my forearm to my coaches face. He was pissed as can be so he pushed me, i lost balance and fell because I didn't expect it. At that point I had enough so I got up, I cocked my fist back and with my other hand I opened the door get on the floor everybody walk the dinosaur.

And if the FBI does nothing to him will you admit he did nothing wrong or find some way to rationalize their decision that would fit with your already established view on the subject.

Pretty sure the board will blame ESPN if that dude doesn't get 20 years for extortion. I'm also trying to figure out how making a demand through your attorney to settle a potential employment discrimination/whistle blower suit is extortion. But I haven't read the letter.

Let's see if I have the facts correct...

1. Asst coach asks university if he can make an paid appearance at some basketball camp somewhere

2. School says no, but the coach goes anyway

3. He was not fired on the spot, but when his contract ran out, it was not renewed.

4. Asst coach, who made approximately $70,000 a year, demanded a one time payment of something like 11 X's his yearly pay, or else he would release damaging information about the head coach to the public.

Asst coach is a deuchebag and I hate that two people are now fired because this dude was disgruntled.
