the punter trick happen vs Glen Oaks in 91 or 92...... i had already graduated and punter underhand tosses ball straight up in air but 20 yards down field, Glen Oaks returner calls for fair catch, Catholic speedster Kurt Dietrich runs up and jumps and catches ball. They was a 4th down pick up late in game that sealed win for the Bears....

This man speaks the truth. Catholic is always a big win for any team and they will brag about it til no end. That says a team's come a long way when you're always a target.

Anyway, either in 98 or 99 when CHS had like, 2 or 3 goal line stands against St. Amant to win the game 6-3.

My freshman year, season of 1999, beat St. Amant (screw 'em) 3-0. Blocked a field goal late to win it after stopping them four times at the 1-yard line. Badass.

The oveflow crowd at Olympia for the Evangel game in the 1999 semis was pretty sweet, too. Rattled Brock Berlin some, but oh well.

i would. Historically it seems like they do well in their district, the reg season, and against south LA teams. If a big North LA team beats them it's probably in the playoffs, thus making it a big win even for the north LA power.

Only b/c it's a playoff game. Has nothing to do with it being Catholic High. And I think WM has beaten them pretty handily at least once. But I see your point, I suppose.
