Just saw the video. Can't believe she was conscious.

Precedent from one random Idaho supreme court case that was in the minors? That's some serious precedent right there. But that not the time or the place for this. Hopefully the fan survives

Teams have settled with fans before they ever sued, which keeps it out of the news for the most part. People have speculated the fan who died in Arlington, his family received a 6 figure check.
Fact remains a fan has successfuly sued in Regards to a foul ball hitting them, so minors or majors it wouldn't matter. The lawyer can bring the courts ruling into account.

I never like sitting THAT close.

Is that really life threatening?
I mean...it looks bad as hell.
But how do you die from that?
Maybe if you are alone in the woods you would bleed to death....maybe.

I'm assuming that we, in that picture, cannot see what the life threatening part is. It looks like the one guy is holding something, so maybe she still has part of the bat lodged in her?
Poor, lady...she looks so scared.

Never underestimate the serious nature of head trauma. She could have massive internal bleeding/swelling around the brain.

even if you are paying attention, sometimes that shite happens so fast it's impossible to react swiftly enough to get completely out of the way. they may need to extend the nets a bit. two nights in a row broken bats have hit people behind the dugouts.
not sure i'd ever want to sit at that angle at a game. just not worth the safety risk involved.

Do the paramedics not realize that blood is gushing out of her nose? Either a shard went into her head, or the blunt force of the bat caused broken blood vessels in the nose.
