that's sort of what I alluded to in my earlier post. Draft a QB that can be a competent back-up and trade Orton. You never know if you can hit a home run

I'm not partial to either they just need to get him off the pay-roll. I just think there's a few teams that could use him for a year or two while grooming a drafted QB

He will be off payroll next year... but the point is you are not going to be able to trade him when he is owed that kind of money with that cap hit. It isn't like baseball where a team can take back some salary.

I guess it's probably just best to go ahead and give up hope. Next year will be 8-8 or worse unless we have a great draft

Im praying for the O line to be addressed in free agency. Plus, the top O linemen were already taking in the 1st and 2nd round.
