After reading the entire article, its obvious someone in a position of power has some sort of agenda. These districts make no sense at all....I mean ESJ and New Iberia?

Thanks, LHSAA

2 Hours 10 mins to South Lafourche
1 Hour 32 mins to Central Lafourche
1 Hour 22 mins to H. L. Bourgeois

Pretty much Bonnabel. They didn't feel it was fair that they had to be in the same district as Rummel, Brother Martin, and Jesuit due to the fact that the three private's can recruit.

They complained, the commish hates private schools and switched stuff up. So now, instead of being in a district with those 3, they stuck them in with Destrehan, East St. John, and Hahnville.

Pretty much fricked the 3 private schools over quite well. They went from being in an 8 team district, to a 5 team district (Grace King being independent). So now they're scrambling trying to find 6 out of district games, as opposed to 2.

The funny thing about it is that Bonnabel sucks horse cock, and will lose in either scenario.

NISH and Westgate are stuck on an island so to speak. They would have long travel to Lake Charles no matter what and they did not want to be in a big district. Big districts kill sports that use power points. NISH and Westgate supported this.

They have 4 5A Schools in Lafayette. Add NISH and Westgate. You got yourself a 6 Team District.

I'm pretty sure next go round, the principal's will vote for the play up rule. Catholic League will be back before you know it.

Okay. 6 Team Lafayette district. I see that. But what do you do with the 3 Lake Charles 5A schools? There is no good answer to any of this mess. Someone is gonna end up unhappy no matter what is done.

DLS' biggest mistake was going co-ed. What the frick were they thinking? Lowering standards only made it worse. When I was there we were in the 11-AAAA Catholic league (AAAA was then the highest) and competed very well with Jesuit, BM, Rummell and the rest (except for football). National Merit semi-fianlists galore and so on. These days, I can barely find my alma mater's scores in the paper. Shoot, they're doing good if they can beat McMain or Lusher.

WDSU or WGNO was/is airing a catholic leage special focusing on the days from whhen even Redemptorist (later redeemer-Seton) was in to the last days about a decade or more ago. Has it aired yet. ANyone know ehere I can see it? I am in BRLA
