In the Super Bowl era:
USC (16)
Notre Dame (13)
Washington (12)
Miami (10)
Stanford (10)
UCLA (10)
...produced the most starting NFL quarterbacks, while Purdue recorded the most combined NFL career starts (704).

But even they struggled the year before and split snaps between two guys.
Really, struggled? I'd take their version of "struggled" every year (3350 pass yards 22 TDs 9 ints 63% 7.9 ypa).
That's about as bad as the UGA fans that were acting like they struggled passing the ball in 2014 when the stat line read 2600 pass yards 24 TDs 6 ints 67.4% 8.1 ypa.
No, most don't really know the struggle of not being able to pass the ball even decently like LSU fans do.

Do you have an example of one that was actually worse when he left? Some never lived up to tRant's 5 heisman expectations, but I really can't think of one that regressed.
Jefferson. Statistically his 2009 season was one of the best by an LSU QB this century while his OL was horrid and run game was even worse.
Miles turned a pro style QB into almost a read option QB. Pretty much zero worthwhile teaching under Crowton, and none under Stud.

The days of Flynn hanging around and waiting his turn and playing as a 5 Year Senior are getting to be few. But Flynn made the correct Decision and ended up getting a NC!
And millions in the bank
He should be a case study young QBs look at for guidance.

Do they get at least a solid QB a class or not necessarily?

How do they keep the non-starters from transferring?

To me Stanford stands out but I guess they really just has 2 QB's since 2008 that were really good and played 4 years to make it seem like they were always stacked. Luck and Hogan.

I'm not talking about them. I'm talking in the future. You don't actually think good quarterbacks wanted to come to LSU so their careers could be destroyed courtesy of Less Miles and his antiquated offense do you? I know if my son would have been a good QB prospect or a good WO prospect when Less Miles was here, no way would I have allowed him to come destroy his career here at LSU playing for Less Miles.
Miles consistently got highly touted Qb recruits to come here. Development is the key, there isn't some high school savior ready to take LSU to the next level. The key is a coach who can mold the talent into elite talent

My point, Jimbo is great at qb evaluation. Some people call it development. I don't. If he is so good at developing qb's, Then why wasn't he able to develop Marcus Randal, Drew Weatherford, Xavier Lee, among others?
What about the 4 QBs he's put into the first round of the NFL draft?

Purdue has produced Bob Griese, Len Dawson, Drew Brees, and Danny Etling.

No matter the school, if you recruit enough good QBs, there will be transfers.

DJ Shockley(1st team SEC), Drafted 7th rd
Matt Stafford(2nd team SEC), Drafted #1 overall
Aaron Murray(1st team SEC, 3rd team AA), Drafted 5th rd
Busts or nobodies
Joe Tereshinski-106 career passes
Joe Cox-started yr between Stafford and Murray, 8-5
Hutson Mason-started 2014, not good, not awful, 10-3
Brice Ramsey-better punter than QB, will be backup this year
For the most part, Georgia has done a good job of having good QB play. David Greene(2001-2004), DJ Shockley(2005), Matt Stafford(2006-2008), and Aaron Murray(2010-2013) account for 12 years of the 16 since 2001. There really was no one for 2009, so Joe Cox had to start. Hutson Mason was ok, although he shouldnt have even gotten the chance but Lemay and Ramsey were busts, so he had to play in 2014, and that compounded even further in 2015 when they had to go out and get a crap transfer in Greyson Lambert since everyone else was bad. The present and future looks pretty good right now with Eason and Fromm, and possibly Justin Fields.
