ETA and just so were clear I'm not saying he's not talented and I'm not saying what he did last season wasn't impressive. But I'm fairly certain that 90 percent of the people that pump him up as the next John Elway have only seen him play 1-2 games, and the media is so desperate for a big time QB prospect to hype up every year that they put the cart before the horse and proclaim him as the person you have to tank for before he's even played a full season
"So here will be our plan Bob. We are going to downplay stuff. No need to create hype or excitement to watch our programming. We will tell the viewers tune in cautiously, maybe in a few weeks."

The point is skewed to the viewer. Just because ESPN presents you something doesn't mean you have to take it and run with it. Not every opinion has to live on extremes, most don't actually

ESPN is currently looking into any possible USC connections with Robert E. Lee.
Well it's the Sacramento Bee and not ESPN, but apparently some people are uncomfortable that USC's mascot, a white horse called "Traveler" has a similar name to that of Robert E. Lee's horse "Traveller".
LINK
Wikipedia has an article on USC's mascot that claims: "It is believed that the horse is named after Robert E. Lee's horse Traveller, although the second l was removed for some reason in 1968."
The statement isn't attributed though, and anyone can edit Wikipedia.
This is obviously not about "white supremacy". It's not even about "white horse supremacy", since Lee's Traveller was a gray American Saddlebreed, and USC's Traveler is a chalk white Arabian.
It's just stupid. Thank God College Football starts Week 0 this Saturday and Week 1 the Saturday after, so we can talk about something meaningful instead of a bunch of garbage like this.
