Today Serena Williams beat Svetlana Kuznetsova 7-5, 6-0 with a blistering nuclear warhead of a second set, but that destruction pales in comparison to the wasteland of Chris Broussard left by one Stephen A. Smith as they debated Kevin Durant’s signing with the Golden State Warriors.

We haven’t been this pleased with an SAS appearance since he flipped off Skip Bayless.

Stephen A Smith spanked that arse.

Broussard 1
Smith 0

Just because he talks loud doesn't make him right. Both players left teams that didn't have very good title chances for teams that have very good title chances, that's the most important thought there.

I don't see how anyone can blame the guy for making the best decision for himself, but as an NBA fan this is pretty awful.

And KD not even taking a meeting with LAL made Stephen A look even worse there, so of course he's going to rant on KD here, KD made him look real bad the past few days.

Ridiculous shite that gets people all riled up.

ESPN is fricking shameless. Interrupting a sporting event with the history of Wimbledon to let two hacks scream at each other over a free agent signing??? Despicable, just trashy. They must have started broadcasting out of a trailer park in Connecticut

He bodied Broussard tho. I don't like Stephen A, but that was entertaining watching live. Those anchors were so uncomfortable

Basically my sentiments after hearing the news… This is just ridiculous. It sucks for the rest of the league, everyone involved outside of the Warriors. I can't imagine how bitter Ezeli, Barnes and others that may go because of this. Even in the 1980's we had 2 -maybe 3- teams with Boston, Los Angeles, and Detroit that were championship level. In the 1990's we even had the Rockets and the Jazz competing with the Bulls. Right now, we have 1 team and then everyone else. Awful.

Anyone who killed James and isn't absolutely destroying Durant are pathetic. My favorite was the "they both left teams with no chance to teams with better chance" quote above. Are you seriously comparing the Cavs and Thunder. And why the hell are the Thunder with Durant next year not title contenders??!!! Are you serious?

There was even less parity in the '80s than there is today. From 1980-1989, the Lakers made 8/10 NBA Finals. In the '80s, only five different teams made NBA Finals. Over the last ten years, nine different teams have made it to the NBA Finals. And I'm not even going to get into how much Bulls dominated the '90s and how their strongest competition during that time was a Utah Jazz team led by a 33/34 year old Malone and 34/35 year old John Stockton. GTFO here with the '80s and '90s had more competition bullshite.
