meh, I'll agree that our football team isn't the best, but I don't think we're bottom 10. we've been .500 the past couple of years, beat Kansas State last year. this guy probably didn't put too much thought into this.

Yeah, this doesn't bother me too much. We see the same thing every year. I think Kige's boys will probably win a game or two this year.

The number 5 spot is reserved for a "big boy school" you'll always see one in that slot.
Also, I think the UL U Pick 'Em thing is hilarious, that and F_U.
I agree with hendo that we're not bottom 10 material this time, but unfortunately it's a good running gag. If we don't lose too badly to UGA, I think we're out.

The gag is that to everyone outside of Acadiana, you are linked with ULM. If you were still the USL Ragin Cajuns, you wouldn't be included in the Bottom 10 because, as you said, the Cajuns have been pretty decent the last couple of years. But sharing the UL moniker with Monroe joins the two schools at the hip. So when ULM is bad, that drags ULL down with them.

ULM is included in UL You Pickem (ULL ULM)
McNeese is not D1 and they are pretty dam good in their division

If you would read the full article, or a couple posts above yours, you'd know the #5 spot is for the "Big Boy School" who either had a bad week, or in this case, is going through NCAA sanctions and in a bad situation.
ETA: I bet you'd love it if UCLA were in it. But noooooo never USC
