This is on ABC right? Does anybody know why here in Houston I'm getting a high school football all-star game between Texas and Louisiana on ABC instead?

So Al Cowlings put up with OJ stealing his high school sweetheart and was still willing to assist OJ evade capture after a double murder? Thin line between loyalty and stupidity.

Maybe OJ kept him paid/laid.

The history of the Hertz thing is fascinating.

He wasn't Jim Brown.

OJ wanted to be rich and he wanted to be famous and loved. And in that time in America...you had to act a certain way and pretend to be white. He did it and he was the first black athlete to be a mainstream America endorser of products.

But you see interviews of OJ with his friends from Oakland and even after he was famous, OJ was so different from what the media portrayed.

There's no denying you couldn't be "real" and make a living endorsing back then. No white person is going to buy that stuff.

So he felt like he had to be white-like (which was common for most black athletes) even during the turmoil of the 60's and 70's...even white Grandma, go OJ, Go in the commercials...was telling white America, it's okay, he's one of us.

It's funny how when the jurors went to OJ's house during the trial, OJ's friends took pictures down of all his real friends and put up pictures of black people.

But it's true, once OJ escaped Oakland, it was mostly white rich society after USC. He was no social rights advocate.

He wanted to be treated like any great white star.
