It's a pretty accurate statement for the most part, I'll give you that
I always figured she would pretty successful in broadcast. She has the right combination of looks, personality, knowledge, and charisma to make it far in the industry, and I think this is what she always wanted to do, from an early age. I am surprised that it's happened so fast though.
But then I checked to see when all of the other big sideline reporters got their break, and they were all in their late 20s, so it makes sense.

She's actually just getting started in the sports world. She's been Bob Shieffer's assistant for the last few years and has been doing her own news casts for CBS.

It's all about who you know, especially in sports. Networking and what not. At least that's what they tell me.
