It's pretty rediculous. You have rules officials everywhere along with your competitors watching. If they don't see an infraction then it's null.

I agree. Imposing a 4 stroke penalty 24 hours after the fact & in the middle of the back 9 in the final round is beyond total bullshite.

Her competitor/marker didn't say anything. Neither should the LPGA.

I don't have an issue w/ violations being reported by someone else on site for the most part (I am not a big fan of people being able to do that shite after seeing it on TV though), just because the entire sport is supposed to rely on players policing themselves for the most part.

She's made 2 birdies since she was notified. I hope she birdies the last 3 holes.

Just read about this and it's awful. Of course she actually moved the ball but its ridiculous that her score is changed a day later and in the middle of the round.

What makes this unfair is that there isn't a camera on every other player at the same time, so the situations aren't the same for all golfers. The USGA/PGA/LPGA need to set a blanket rule that that the penalty can only be assessed during that hole. There are enough rules officials tagging along to make sure the round is adequately judged. What happened today coupled with what happened during the US Open last year is silliness.
