The first bat i saw snapped, oh well, things happen. What was so unique about the second, was the ball was well struck, on the meat of the bat, the ball had near home run distance. The bat didnt part ways until the end of the swing, over the batters shoulder. Not your typical saw off. Anyone ever seen that before?

Never seen an aluminum bat break in half, I've cracked plenty in my years though.

Aluminum bats? I don't think I've ever seen one break. Of course, I don't watch a lot of baseball (can't get to many LSU games up here, and don't care about any other baseball). I thought the big plus for the metal bats was that they don't break? Or is it just that they break way less often than wooden ones?

I am sorry, I missed something here. Will the OP give a little more back story? Did this happen during the baseball game today between LSU and Ole Miss? If it was on the LSU side then we don't use Easton bats, if it was on the Ole miss side then that is what happens when you try to make solid contact to a 99 mph heater from Gausman.

second one that broke in this tourney though, Same spot. Only brought it up because the ball hit right in the sweet spot of the bat, homerun distance. With a right hander, with a clean break, you would assume the barrell portion would fly somewhat the same path as the ball. I've just never seen anything quite like that

Happened twice to Ole Miss, and it was off McCune, not Gausman

It didn't seem to break at the time of impact. Held together until he completed his follow through.

wtfe, but answer the question. Please. How many metal bats have you seen snapped into on 300 fot shot? Add to the equation, the head flys 180 degrees in direction from the ball? geesh

are they still making the bats in two pieces like the easton Connexions were in the early 2000s? probably the cause of all of it and wouldn't be the first time it has happened.

Not that I watch softball, but it was on this past weekend and an easton bat broke and flew towards the 3rd basemen.

I have no clue what is being asked.

quote:

snapped into on 300 fot shot

snapped into what? wtf is fot?

quote:

the head

what head? the batters head?

quote:

flys

is this the possessive of a fly (the insect)?

180 degrees in direction from the ball?

Did you tailgate for the game? Sounds like the bloody mary's were flowing this AM.

You are being purposefully dense. It's really not that hard to figure out what the OP was saying.
