Drew Brees is on pace for 40+ TDs and 5000+ Yards again. Inevitable GOAT

If he stays healthy the rest of his contract Brees will hold almost every QB record in history while leading the FREAKING saints to a SB title beating 3 HOF QBs in a row in those playoffs.

He could end up with close to 75,000 yards, 600 TDs and a completion % approaching 70%

How is he always looked over when considering the top 3-5 QBs to ever play the game.

Brees will go down as the GOAT. It's inevitable.

His stats are untouchable over the last decade

He has been incredible. It is weird that he gets overlooked in mainstream GOAT conversations.

Edit. I do t think he is the GOAT but it's silly to not mention him

Look at the era he plays in. Romo, Wilson, rivers, etc are all top 6-7 all time in passer rating. If that doesn't show you how easy it is to pass in today's NFL compared to years past nothing will.

Payton put him in a great system where he could flourish.

Yet in this era, Brees is in a league of his own. No one sniffs his numbers over the last 10-11 season. Not Manning, not Bradychik, not Rodgers.

How many MVPs does Peyton Manning have? Drew Brees?

That's due to volume. Others are better at the best metrics that we have to rate qbs.

Yards per attempt
TD/INT ratio
Passer rating

Brees' had 5000 yards and 45 TDs (approx) the year Payton was not even there.

also - the saints have the LARGEST drop off in QB production BY FAR when Brees is out (40+ percent drop off)

The next drop off was Manning and it isn't close.

Then Rodgers.

Then Brady - at around just 10 percent (which this season has firmly validated)

If volume is the only reason he has the numbers, why couldn't Brady, Manning, and Rodgers simply just match the numbers over the last decade?

So that means your backup sucks. Your argument is silly.

Brady is the ultimate system QB. See my previous post. I've posted the numbers before. The saints passing game plummets without Brees.
