23 games? In 8 seasons?
He is on his fifth team in 8 years. He isn't doing it right. Right off the bat looking at his stats he averages 3 TOs/game. That is horrific for a PF bench/role player.
He is a 6'11 athlete that can run and jump. What is his elite skill? If anything he could be a energy guy off the bench. But that requires hustle. Hustle is all attitude.
Is bird man a better player than Randolph? I don't think so, but he damn sure hustles and plays hard. Playing hard and hustling is a skill.
Everyday in practice guys like him get their "chance" especially an athletic big man

All i said was he flashed in spurts and still has potential.
rebounds and block shots. He has a smooth touch around the goal

Wish Philly would have drafted him. But no. We get fricking Saric instead of the scoring wing we need.

To play real minutes you need at least one elite skill. I didn't say you said anything. I asked you a question
Hustle counts as a skill. Being smart is a skill. Shooting 3s from the corner would work.
Can he shoot? Can he lock someone down? Can he get a tough rebound in traffic? What does he do well enough to deserve more playing time?
The league is full of guys with potential. The league is short on guys that figure out what they need to do to play.
My guess from watching him a little is: he can't shoot from the outside well enough to be a stretch four
He can't beat people off the dribble so he isn't a 3
He can't pass worth a shite (3TOs/g)
He is stuck in between positions and too stubborn to fix it

If I was his agent, I would tell to stand in the corner and shoot 1000 3s in the morning and stand in the corner and shoot 1000 3s in the afternoon. Everyday. All summer.

He looked really good and more athletic than people give him credit for. He's going to have a sneaky good season for the Bulls imo. A more athletic Szczerbiak... a comparison which he likes.

I don't think it's a surprise that the best player in the college game two years running played well against scrubs that probably won't make an NBA team.
He's obviously offensively skilled. I think he'll do fine, but how he adjusts to being defended by more athletic and skilled players in the NBA will determine if he's merely a good role/bench player or a legimate starter.
