Domestic Players Limit

I'm a fan of the KHL. Which is a Russian hockey league (2nd best league in the world behind the NHL)
Anyway, they have a rule that Russian hockey teams can have only 5 non-Russians on their roster. The idea is that this gives more Russian players a chance and helps the national team.
What if the NBA or MLB adopted this rule?
It would likely affect the MLB more than the NBA.
The NFL is mostly American, so it doesn't really matter b
But if push came to shove, would you as an American support foreigner limits?

I wouldn't hate but I wouldn't actively support it.

This makes sense in Europe. Each country had a league, well at least in soccer. They need to develop their own talent. Here in America, this would make as much sense as saying X% of Saints must be from Louisiana, which now that I type it I like it!!!
