Which is exactly the point of the thread.

Saints should draft him late and have Brees mentor him then he can take over in 8 years when Brees retires

McPherson went in the 5th round.

I'd say RP would be classified with a horrible history.

It takes a lot for a starting QB of a major university to be dismissed.

I think RP needs to end up in a place where he would have to seriously try to get in trouble like Green Bay (basically somewhere full of white people).

I think RP + money + NOLA = bad idea even though I'd love to see him play for Sean Payton. Payton with a QB that can make all the throws plus run well would be exiciting as heck .

or lots of little things.

If you have a group of people who can vouch for him being a changed person, his putting on a show at his pro day/combine, scouts watching his videos, and then NFL teams realize that there are some absolutely garbage QBs in the league...you have the perfect storm for him to move up pretty high.

when the story of why he got dismissed from LSU makes its way to scouts (and it probably has) then he's gonna need A LOT of good things said about him to make it up.

But with his talent, i definitely think it can happen.

I'm trying to figure out if this helps or hurts his situation.

just think RP is just as talented, perhaps even more than Mark Sanchez.

3rd rd draft picks might get 3mil guaranteed.

Mark Sanchez got 28mil.

Very low risk, high reward for a QB with top 10 talent.

Even with NFL players thats been suspended for drug use, teams will still sign them with big contracts.

Pot-head Claude Wrotten got drafted in the 3rd rd.
Didnt Percy Harvin openly stated that he smokes pot?
