Sullivan, who proceeded Fran, almost got the LSU job instead of Dinardo. The comparison from earlier to Rice is much much better than TCU.

but go play at ULL, La Tech, or ULM before Tulane.

If you're playing at a hyphenated or directional school, your NFL prospects aren't that great anyway. You're better off taking the best education.

They need a young up and coming coach, not an old has been like CJ.

The best choice is to shut the program down.

I really wasn't sold on CJ when they hired him, but I figured his NFL experience would at least help recruiting a little which it has. It may be time for him to go, but unless you have someone else who would accept the job in mind you hold off at least this year.

Tulane is really squandering an opportunity to get back into a P5 conference. The Big12 wants any reason to admit them but their performance is making it too unpalatable. If this was the Shaun King days, they would be in now. It might be too late now.

You don't actually believe this?

That was two good years and one of those wasn't that good.

Pathetic. The special teams coach should be driven far out of town and then fired.

He learned from his mentor, Payton, no matter what never fire your STs coach

CJ actually hired a decent ST coach originally. The special teams was the best it had been in years in 2012. Then that ST coach took a leave of absence and eventually retired. He didn't bother bringing in a ST coach at all last year, he gave the responsibility to Jason Rollins, a guy with no ST coaching experience as far as I know. That didn't work so he brings back the ST coach from the Toledo era. The Toledo era special teams were a lot like the current ones.

Waay too early for that shite! They were a bad team last year. This year they should be good, but CJ can't get on the field and play for them. Tanner Lee has the talent, but is still playin like shite. And they have no one else better at QB. CJ has done more than any of the recent chumps before him. The only thing I would question is the playcallin. I mean tryin to run Tanner Lee on a spread option is a ridiculous call. He needs to change his OC.

The only coach who would even consider coming is a burnout like Slob Toledo or someone who will use the job as a stepping stone for another gig.

They could certainly promote Lionel Washington, I think he'd do a much better job than CJ. The defense has been pretty good..

Why not? Eventually they need to get to 12 teams. That means revenue from the CCG and better odds of getting into the playoff. Tulane would raise their academic profile and give them a presence in Louisiana. Tulane just needs to quit sucking out loud in football and basketball. At least get the FB program to the Northwestern level (good team every few years).

True, but a decent year then a great year would indicate a program on the rise. You'd assume the P5 money would help the program even further so at least it wouldn't be an embarrassment to the conference and a drain on the other members. Being in the P5 would also help Tulane recruit and keep better coaches, or at the very least become a steppingstone for young up and comers.
