it's a shame that they moved to div. 1A. they used to dominate in fcs. they had great great crowds back then.

It is a national story on every sports talk show today. They just finished a segment on Lebatard about it discussing how it isn't about money and asking wtf is wrong with people (Bama fans) that are ok with what happened.
And I grew up in Bham going to UAB games at the Bjcc and played basketball myself there.
Been following how Bama has intentionally fricked UAB and worked extremely hard to make sure they never succeeded.
So, yeah it is interesting to me.

If Bama had left uab alone, they would have a solid profitable program.

Uab raised their own money to pay Fischer. Uab had bonds to finance their own stadium.
If the Bama BOT had not intentionally prevented both Uab would be making money right now and probably have a solid team and program.

I mean it sucks for UAB and their program. But it's not surprising. There's never been any support. Auburn people are either totally ignorant of UAB and what it's like there or they are being disingenuous. There are literally more Auburn posters talking about it on here, than there were UAB fans in real life at the protest when they shut down the program. Just think about that.
