Does the current state of the NFL make it more or less entertaining to you?

I'm talking specifically about the celebrations. From Cam having a solo dance after every first down to Beckham doing the "whip and nae nae" and even going back to TO and Randy Moss. Do these antics add an entertainment value to you, or do you prefer to just watch players like a Fitzgerald, Jones, Cooper, Megatron make a big play and act like they've done it before?

I think both have their place in the game, but do you think at some point the NFL will try to tone it down a notch, or do they see it as added entertainment value?

My guess is that the baby boomers hate it and the millennialist love it. I've always preferred the conservative approach to celebrations, but I think the idea of a few flamboyant antagonists is great for the league...too many or too much I would see as a bad thing though.

It doesn't bother me I just think it's stupid and gay to dance after a 3 yard run for a first down.

For this reason or something else?

The rule changes have really soured me on the NFL more than anything else, but it's starting to turn into dance dance revolution at this point

It's been the No Fun League for years. I don't give a shite about celebrations. They don't bother me. If you don't want somebody to dance after a touchdown, stop them from scoring.

ETA: but to your point, there has to a point where it doesn't just turn into Idiocracy type WWE celebrations. Not sure where that line is but it was somewhere close to T.O. running out to the 50 on the Dallas star.

Less

Let me expand: In the NBA I hate, for example, the uniforms that don't have the team name or city, but instead some stupid arse nickname like "Rip City".

Less of that garbage that appeals to the morons and uneducated, please.

Well I don't think it bothers the players that much, I was speaking more towards the viewers.

I'm a millennial and not a fan of the celebrations.

I believe the NFL will let it continue as it seems to get people discussing it whether they hate it or love it.

Just hate how commercial it is and their faux awareness for breast cancer and military appreciation.

I can't watch a game if I don't have money on it.

This. I don't mind a TD celebration and look forward to some of them. The extra 5 yard run after obtaining the first and a 10 celebration gets annoying. My only knock on the NFL is all the flags and personal fouls. It's hard enough to play DB in the league but when you make a great play that looks vicious, its inevitable that a flag will be tossed.

The NFL is exploiting breast cancer for its own gain and setting a pathetic example for big business: with nearly $10bn in annual revenue, they have given a mere $4.5m to breast cancer research since the pink misdirection play began.

I'm glad the NBA didn't continue with their plan of having nick names as the last names on jerseys. That was the dumbest idea.

To answer OP. I like it to an extent. If you watched every TD as someone had been there and done that, it would be boring. The celebrations, or some, get the crowd and fans pumped up. Which pumps up the players even more.

Rules changes. Don't like the leadership. Feel the game is becoming more barbaric.

What plan? It was always a one night only thing.

It's a game. People who get upset about celebrations take life much too seriously.

As a whole the NFL has been less entertaining this year for me. And I love the NFL, I truly do but this season just seems down to me.
