Im a guy who grew up in the 90's watching Mayne, Patrick, Olberman, Stuart Scott, Berman, etc on Sportscenter. They did an amazing job.

However now I'm a white guy in my 30's (yeah I'm one of THOSE that ESPN seems to think they don't need to appeal to) who used to turn on Sports Center in the evening to see whats going on in the world of sports. Now that they have moved to the "HIP and HAPPENING" THE SIX with Jamelle Hill and Michael Smith, neither of whom are sports anchors it is unbearable.

Maybe Im getting old and dont care to hear about what rappers and actors think about LeBron and Westbrook.

Just give me the meat and potatoes of sports. Highlights and interviews.

The cost of cable and ease of getting live sports by cheaper means is one of the main downfalls. That and the absolutely absurd political agenda they had. frick ESPN. That organization had this coming. Liberal arse pussies.

In the 90's, you didn't have a whole lot of choices to get non-local sports information outside of ESPN. Now everything is available in real time with YouTube highlights and .GIFs available within minutes of something interesting happening.

Why sit through an hour of highlights on teams that I don't care about when I can see every significant sports event of the day on Twitter?

That's probably why I no longer watch anything beyond live sports on ESPN more than anything.

I watch probably 25 innings of Braves baseball per week. I watch nearly every SEC game of note. I watch most Auburn basketball games, every Falcons game, most Cowboys games, a handful of Hawks games, every Everton match and all televised Atlanta United matches. I watch every major and probably 15-20 hours of golf per year on top of that.

In other words, while I'm sure there are bigger sports fans on here, I'm pretty into sports.

I had no idea what the 6 was until the firings yesterday. That's how tuned out of ESPN's non-live coverage I am right now.

In fairness to the 6, I rarely watch regularl sportscenter either.
