Ice Up Son.

With the WR bias in for the hall, I dunno. He and Reggie Wayne are almost carbon copies with credentials so that'll be tough.

As much as I dislike the guy he deserves to be there.

Wayne has benefit of being pretty much liked by everybody but some will say manning made him.

Steve smith never had a note worthy qb while he was any where near his prime

Reggie Wayne has better stats (and a ring). Smith's stats were actually worse than I thought they would be. He's far closer to Marques Colston than he is to Cris Carter or Tim Brown.

Why is this relevant? This isn't about Reggie Wayne.

I think he should get in, but it will probably take a little while given the other receivers who waited a bit and those who aren't in yet

No, it's if he gets into the hall of fame, and he didn't exactly blow away his potential competition when the HoF us already biased against Wrs.

Was surprised by all the yes

I guess. I figured he was fringe, but not a lock.

Looking at his stats, he actually is. He's going to be in line behind guys with much better resumes.

He does belong in the a-hole Hall of Fame, though. First ballot there.

It all depends on timing. If he's on the ballot with Larry Fitzgerald, Reggie Wayne, Boldin, or Andre Johnson, he will be waiting a long time, if he gets in at all. He hasn't had a better career than any of those guys.

It took Brown and Carter an agonizing amount of time to get in and those guys were at the peak of their position. Smith scored double digit touchdowns in a season a grand total of once.

Accomplished all of this and the best QB he played with was Jake Delhomme. Put him in

If he does, it will take a while. If guys like Art Monk, Cris Carter and Tim Brown have to wait like 10 years to get in then Smith would have to wait longer. I don't think he's on their level.
