They have a good chance to win 10 games this year and finally get over the 9-4 hump. They have tremendous facilities, one of the best fan bases in America and if they start winning 10+ games a year and contending for the BIG championship/playoffs they will start to appear more and more on TV, start off with higher pre-season rankings and become more and more prominent on the national scene.

They aren't in bad shape at all right now and should be in contention for a spot in the BIG title game and if they can knock off Michigan State will be in position to be a top 10 team before the end of the year.
so if they accomplish a lot of "ifs" they might contend for a top 10 ranking occasionally? That's not dominant....

And You're right, Nebraska isn't in bad shape at all. They just seem to have a lower ceiling bc of their lack of recruiting grounds

Wisconsin may not have high recruiting rankings for 10 years but they always seem to be good every year( this year included). And they don't have the same history or brand name that Nebraska does. Why can't they follow the same strategy?

Oddly, it was Wisconsin that followed Nebraska's strategy when Barry Alvarez was hired in the 90s. Wisconsin was a putrid program until he arrived and took Nebraska's footprint to make Wisconsin a very good team in the B1G.

Nebraska is going undefeated

They aren't beating Wisconsin in Madison or Michigan State in East Lansing. Hell, given their games since joining the B1G, a win over Iowa in Kinnick isn't guaranteed.

And they only get on TV twice a year when they're playing FSU and when they are playing a big OOC game( like last week).

@ Louisville - Primetime slot on ESPN on Labor Day
vs Arkansas State - 3:30 slot on ESPNU
@ Nebraska - Primetime slot on ESPN2
vs Duke - Primetime slot on ESPN2
@ GT - Primetime slot on ESPN2
@ VT - Primetime slot on ESPN Thursday Night

So...what TV are you talking about?

All it would take for Miami to be dominant again is committed boosters with deep pockets.

Let 3-4 nevin Shapiros run wild and buy players, the U could be a top ten program in two years easily.

True. What they really need is a coach with a personality who can also be a salesman. If they'd gotten rid of Golden after last year -- tough to do after a 9-4 year -- the best thing for them would have been to bet the farm on James Franklin.

I think Golden is a good coach, but he's not a good fit for the dynamics at play with the Miami job.

No input, just wanted to thank you for using dominant correctly.
