I used to live in Tallahassee so I know lots of them. My sister-in-law is an FSU alum. There are always a few that act like you're insulting their ancestors if you say anything bad about FSU, Jimbo, TPD, Bowden, etc. But most of the fans I know are keeping it in perspective.

Best friends all go or went to FSU. They've all gone through some weird transformation.

They were all cool as shite last year. Genuinely surprised and elated at how well FSU did.

Winston got in trouble and they were a bit annoyed with him.

But when he continued to get in trouble and the media attention and hate started to come....they lost their minds.

It's turned into some crazy, delusional, non clever hate with them. I can't even bring up game stats or trends or anything without them legitimately getting really mad at me. And I'd be insane to bring up off field issues at this point as I'm afraid it would lead to a pretty nasty fight between us.

And I can't say enough good things about these people, but they've been brainwashed or something. No joke, I'm scared to death to be around for FSU's next loss. They have no idea that an FSU loss is even a real thing at this point.

I don't blindly defend players. Check my post history. I was talking mess about both Manziel and Evans today.

Must be bad if a bama fan is saying this.

I know. I'm talking about some of the TAM fans I know and how they were last year.

My friend is marrie to the assistant director or programs, he does radio and tv stuff. So she has become a fan as she is very involved with the staff etc.

She went to LSU so she still pulls for the Tigers but is a FSU fan by marriage

I grew up in Tallahassee, so I know a ton and am related to two (mother and brother).

My Facebook newsfeed was a complete and utter shitshow on Saturday. When you consider that 90% of my friends are fans of Bama, Auburn, Florida, or FSU and the FSU fans were by far the grossest, that's saying something.

You have to work pretty hard to outdo Bama and Auburn fans on the gross meter on Iron Bowl day.

Girlfriend went to FSU. She was initially critical of the media when the rape accusations came out. However, after Jameis had his infamous "We skrong" interview, she turned to me with a look of sudden comprehension and stated:

"Oh my God, babe, our quarterback is a complete moron."

Since then, she's been dreading football news from Tallahassee every week.

Come to think of it, this season has made her an absolute nervous wreck every Saturday. I think it would've been better for her sanity if FSU already lost.

I went to FSU and am a huge fan.

I think Jameis should have been kicked off the team this summer after he stole the crab legs. That was like the 3rd or 4th incident involving him.

The entire Florida State disaster shows exactly where our priorities are as a society where we allow entitled athletes to do whatever they want as long as State U is winning.

Florida State is hardly the only institution or fan base who is this way.

And certainly won't be the last.

+1 and Upvoted.

I've refrained from talking to the few FSU fans that I know precisely because of your last point. This literally could happen anywhere.

Go to school with a couple. Both are very cool and aren't delusional Winston apologists.

Does Winston have any kind of developmental issues? He just seems kinda..............slow.

I'm seriously asking.

Talked to some Nole fan during my buddy's wedding back in January and he had a pretty rational take on it all. He didn't bother defending Jameis because nobody truly knows what happened, but was proud of the team's NC nonetheless.

Of course, since then, Jameis has proven himself to be a bona fide POS, rape or no rape.

I don't know if he has some kind of development issue, but I kind of hope he does... Because if he doesn't, he's just the dumbest son of a bitch on the planet.

I have cousin of mine that has a daughter that's a senior in high school, they live in St augustine, they are huge fsu fans, etc. He does not want his daughter going to Florida state. I think he's going to spring for stetson or the U to keep her away from Tallahassee.

Yeah, I work with one. Cool chic, FSU alum and big fan. She is fun to hang with has mentioned that FSU and Winston have been getting a lot of shite this year, but she doesn't seem to care and isn't bothered by it.
