Even though Draymond had a phenomenal night, I can't help but to think that this should have been over in 5. If Draymond Green didn't act such a fool in the WCF with all his excessive kicking and shite, he probably could have gotten away with some of the stuff he did in game 4. I think that the suspension really came down to what he did in game for and all the other crap leading up to that. Him being out put the Warriors at a disadvantage and coupling that with Bogut getting injured set the stage for the Cavs.

You may have a point. Golden State didn't take Cleveland out when they had a chance. You knew after they won game 5, they were gonna take game 6 at home. And then it comes down to one game and anything can happen in a situation like that. Of course, LeBron and Kyrie started playing like Supermen in game 5 too, so that helped.

Nah. They had 8 quarters of basketball to win. If you're Steph or Klay, the idea of blaming Green is ludicrous.

Yeah his stupidity over the course of the playoffs cost his team.

People will say well they had a shot with him in the lineup in game 7 and still lost, which is true but the momentum shift can't be argued

I agree with you. Who to say they'd win if he'd play that game.

Well think about it further. Even though Draymond didn't have a direct effect on Bogut going down, him(Bogut) being out forced Side Show Bob to be on the floor more and that was good for the Cavs. If Draymond plays game 5 they likely close them out going away.

I would blame Curry more than Green... Hell Irving outclassed Curry the whole series....

They had a far better shot of winning game 5 at home with Bogut and Green than winning game 7 at home with Green and no Bogut

With Steph coming up that small in the last game, nah.

Draymond contributed to the series loss but he showed up in game 7. If you're the 2x MVP you can't have 17 points in game 7.

Steph consistently wasn't close to his regular season form. I know the injury plays a part but when you're the MVP you find another way to leave your print on the game. Can't just sulk.

If you're going that route, blame whoever actually suspended him.

GS had 3 games to get 1 win, 2 of those at home, and just flopped. Klay and Steph didn't step up. Blame the team...........or just Cleveland all the credit. That works too.

True, but there would likely be no game 7 if Green plays game 5. Think about it. The odds of them winning game 5 with Green are significantly higher than them winning game 7 with Green. There would have been far, far less pressure on Steph with Green in game 5

He has only himself to blame for his suspension.

Notice he wasn't nut checking in game 6/7

Why? Green did the stuff that warranted him being suspended. If he was acting all crazy they would have had no reason to suspend him.

Yes, but you can't overlook the underlying factors and variables at play in the situation.

Did Draymond contribute to the loss by getting suspended, BUT Draymond had the highest game score on GSW by 4.1 points. And he was on the only one that really stepped up last night for them.

So he deserves some of the blame, as they all do, but only a small amount of it.

Not really. You could argue that they win game 5 with him in the lineup. However he wasn't in the lineup because he couldn't resist the urge to hit other men's genitalia. His suspension was justified. Losing game 6 and 7 weren't on him, but you can definitely blame him for costing his team a chance to win in 5

Green is the only one (eta: Warrior) who showed up to a home game 7 last night. Hell no. I don't care about series antics. Came down to one game and Green was the best player on the court yesterday for either team.
