We see plenty of talk about coaches who can't get it done in the tournament (i.e. Sean Miller). Some coaches always get teams prepared for the tournament regardless of seed and avoid upsets for the most part.

My question: does a college hoops coach have to have an 'it' factor to get it done? I think this is the consensus in other sports, what about here? After all, it's different in this one and done scenario.

no. it's a crapshoot that he has been on the wrong side of. he has won 65% of his tournament games and just has been unlucky as hell. shite happens.

This is about the worst possible way to crown a champion in basketball.

Its a great tournament.

Of course if it were best two out of three then cindarella would be home cleaning the stove.

Its fun.

Its not as serious as nba. Best 4 out of 7 is a better guide.

The NCAA tourney is the most entertaining way to see a champion crowned, but is easily the worst in finding a champion in all sports. NBA does it right in figuring out who is the best team.
