He might have been the best defensive catcher of all time but it will be tough for him not to get lumped into those 90s Rangers teams that were on roids

Is it time for your yearly "do you think (insert name of slam dunk HOFer here) will get into the HOF?" thread already?

He should but probably won't due to the roids issue.

Has it ever been alleged that he was juicing?

I think so, but it was anecdotal.

Canseco said he injected Pudge until he was able to do it on his own.

Interesting. I know they juiced for a variety of reasons, but Pudge was never known as a great power hitter.

Like another Texas midget (Bagwell) he went from being a slap hitter in the minors to putting up huge power numbers on juice. Benito Santiago is more deserving.

I really hope they aren't using this clown as truthful testimony for these things. Anything he says should be discredited as money grabbing

Sorry, but if they aren't in the Mitchell Report, you can't hold it against players because "He was probably on it"

He was never accused IIRC of being on steroids. Mainly since he had some power but not Canseco/McGwire/Palmeiro numbers.

His defensive prowess should get him in. And its about time the Rangers had a member of the HOF that actually had a significant tenure with the team.
