Why? Becky Hammon is THE candidate. Owners are watching her in the NBA at one of the league's top organizations. If Podunk U hires a woman isn't so much of a factor.

She maybe be a candidate in that she will get interviews but she won't be the one to land a head coaching NBA gig imo.

I think it will happen within 10 years. The Spurs love her. She did a great job with the Summer League team (which doesn't mean much, but she was the head coach).

I am sure her role with the Spurs will expand over the next few years until Pop retires and then they will give her a shot in the interview process to take over. I think she would need to be at least head assistant before having a legit shot though.

Spurs will hire her when Pop retires in order to stay relevant within the media.

Pop will be picking his replacement I can't see him picking her over someone who has been with the organization a lot longer.

Maybe or maybe not but my point is she's the list. I don't think colleges not hiring her will have anything to do with her NBA chances.

Spurs did fine when they weren't relevant in the media.

Not sure if I see her in college. Not sure if college boys would be mature enough for that situation

Sure. any woman.

say some women is great in D-1 women's ball. Someone dies at her school and she is interim head coach of a men's D-1 program that was mediocre, and she gets them to win their mediocre conference tournament, and THEN, she wins in the NCAA, lets say she gets to the sweet 16 and loses a close well coached game.
That person will get jobs from then on.

Wasn't Buss pretty much running the Lakers a few years ago? I know alot of people want her back in total control. I know she didn't have the GM title, but not a stretch for her to become it soon..

You are eligible to coach an NBA team as long as your voice is not higher than Avery Johnson's.
