Disregard? I think Corey Kluber is fantastic. As is Chris Sale. They should both be appreciated. This whole thread is just an inane hot take.

We all know Verlander is the best AL pitcher and it's not even close.

Verlander. Now thats a pitcher who deserves an MVP. Takes a truly special pitcher to deserve one, Sale doesnt live up to what Verlander has done and continues to do. Sale is a good pitcher though

Chris Sale career: 2.96 ERA 1.04 WHIP
Justin Verlander: 3.49 ERA 1.19 WHIP
The fact that you disregard the guy who gives up less runs and less baserunners tells me how little you know about baseball.

Verlander MVPs 1. Verlander Cy Youngs 1. Verlander No hitters 2.
Sale MVPs 0 and will always be 0. Sale Cy Youngs 0. Sale No hitters 0.
Sales had a nice little career though

Earlier it was runs and baserunners, now it is no hitters. What a godawful way to evaluate a player. Philip Humber has a more impressive career than Sale if we judge just on those criteria as well.

Kluber allows less runs, less walks, less hits.

Kluber has been the better pitcher this year overall. The numbers clearly bear that out.

Yeah probably while we continue the charade that Joey votto isn't the most deserving player for nl MVP

Man...if I got this worked up about the AL MVP and Cy Young award I would kill myself.

Meh just made this after klubers fine complete game shutout last night. I'm no Indians nor Red Sox fan. Just think that it's strange that the best pitcher in the AL is largely ignored nationally.

Riiiiiiiiiiight. Kluber is practically an unknown nationally. I think you're actually the only person who realizes he's really good!
