Dirk is baby Jesus

Nowitzki had max contract offers from the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers of $97 million over four years but was reportedly never interested in any offers outside Dallas. Instead, the 12-time All-Star voluntarily took a 65 percent pay cut, leaving over $72 million on the table.

Dirk

KG and Paul Pierce both got a reputation boost from playing on the Celtics.
KG was an all time great but Dirk was better.
Pierce was just good and gets way too much love only bc he played for Celtics.

KG was the much better one on defense. Dirk walked on water offensively. That's all I got.

It feels like theres years where KG was better than Dirk, and years where Dirk was better than KG...

Hhmm, gotta ponder on this one.

KG was not only better than Dirk, he was better than Duncan as well. Guy had the highest five year RAPM ( regularized adjusted plus-minus)
of any player not named LeBron in the post-Jordan era. LINK

When people talk about bad organizations wasting a player’s career, they often bring up Mike Trout with the Angels and Barry Sanders with the Lions. Well, Trout and Barry are fully appreciated and recognized for their talents even though they played on miserable teams. KG is a top 10 NBA player of all-time but few people view him that way because of how horribly the Timberwolves constructed their team around him. No athlete in the history of North American team sports was more let down by their organization than Kevin Garnett was.

Just ranking them based on how good they were and the positive impact they had on their team when they were at their very, very best

1. Jordan
2. LeBron
3. Kareem
4. Bill Russell
5. Shaq
6. Hakeem
7. Bird
8. Steph Curry
9. Garnett
10. Duncan

Are there stats to back up Curry > Durant?

Seems like other than 2016, Durant is simply a better basketball player than Steph Curry, even if everyone hates him.

Even the past year, Durant was better.

I’ll take the 9th pick over the 5th in a close one.
