The Eastern Conference in 2015 has three 50+ win teams. The Eastern Conference in 1996 had the same number of 50+ win teams.

Yes. Did you fricking watch it? He was still great in the 95 playoffs. Difference was his team had gotten rid of Horace and they missed him. Wasnt til next year when they added Rodman that they were back to being a great team

So you chose one year. How was the rest of the field then vs now? Do you guys forget the Pistons, Knicks, Pacers and how good they were?

Who in the East is that stout now? Or has been outside of a LBJ team that is? This year's big East team the Hawks almost lost in the first round. They just got swept without much work from the Cavs.

The planet that watched Detroit win back to back then watched the Bulls win 3 straight. How about you?

People thought the bulls would beat the cavs without love.

Didn't the Bulls and Hawks have a pretty good record against the West this year? You're crazy if you think the East is just so comically bad.

I love how people on this board use my Michael Jordan attacks NOW against him but argued against those very attacks just a few years ago.

Just pretend he was injured then and came back during the season.

The fact is, Jordan played in 1995 and lost.

There is no "what if" like he wasn't there.

He played. And he lost.

Yep, MJ can score. The team wasn't together for a full season. You really don't think there's anything to a team playing together or in this case, having not played together in a year and a half? Cohesiveness.

No doubt.

Had M not retired, I'd bet my money on them winning 8 straight. You can choose to say they would have still lost those 2 years in a row. We all have an opinion.

Uh, so what does that mean? There always "people" who think a team can beat another.

Holy shite, the LBJ fanboys are uniting here.

Translation: MJ couldn't put the team on his back and win a Title.

No one thought Boston (outside of Boston) would beat the cavs. My point, is that the objective people picked the bulls and hawks to beat the cavs

Youre playing the results by thinking otherwise

What a stupid argument. Last year's championship Spurs were much closer to losing in the first round than this year's hawks team.

Teams have injuries all the time that prevents teams from building the cohesiveness they would possibly have if they played together for an entire season.

That's a silly argument.

Not sure about that. I agree that I thought the Bulls had a good shot. And it was close especially with the phantom TO. The Hawks seemed exposed early so I had no thoughts of them beating the Cavs once the playoffs were in effect. As I mentioned, LBJ is one of the best ever so I think he will win most series he's in especially when it comes against a weak team. And the East had them in spades. I mean can we really compare the teams of the E vs W?
