All I was saying was they have about as many students as SLU, are a notch below Tech and not older than Northwestern St.

I just think it is kind of crazy for them to use the name of the university system for the school considering that info. It seems like a money grab to me.

I'll answer:

Southeastern has more students

La Tech is more prestigious

Several are older.

Oh, well yeah, our enrollment is similar to SELU, but we're still slightly bigger. I've heard a rumor that we're planning to gradually expand to 20,000 students in a few years though.

And yeah, we're definitely not the oldest school. Tech and NSU have us beat.

University of Lousiana was founded in 1834,
half a century later it changed its name to Tulane University.

Expand? How, by lowering UL-L standards even lower?

I found it funny when the ABC affiliate in New Orleans would list them as U LALA. Lasted a couple of weeks and then someone must of complained.

If they want national exposure they should have taken this and run with it. Unique and noticeable like the ragin Cajuns mascot.

How did this make it to 5 pages? As an LSU graduate, I could care less what the University of Louisiana Lafayette refers themselves too.

A small percentage of people might confuse them with LSU, but it really doesn't bother me. They are just trying to build their own name recognition. Good for them.
