Its his future skill set in the NFL and odds are not a lot of schools will let him transfer and switch positions and get a ton of carries or receptions. He's proved he can be an NFL skill player and will get drafted. Mission Accomplished.

Depends. If he came LSU they would probably be the same

I think he's implying that he would have transferred and play Qb

I remember when he was going to win the Heisman after the first game

Yep, I don't think anyone expected him to put up out of this world numbers at WR or H-Back. But it is better for him to get reps at that position. So many guys try to go from playing QB to WR right before the combine and pro days. Rarely does it workout.

Remember the heisman talk after the Virginia Tech game?

Good times.

He can't throw a football 40 yards anymore. And last I heard his current draft projection was around the 3rd round.

So I'd say no.

Well he did have an amazing game. I don't think anyone expected him to perform like that.

So is Urban using him as a decoy or what?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was a game McShay was doing field level reporting. He even said some scouts were saying he could go 2nd round, which I was pretty shocked over.

He turned into a pretty solid WR over the course of the season. He has great hands and eventually turned into one of the better blocking WRs.

He can't put velocity on the ball. He wasn't even technically cleared to throw until after the season started im pretty sure.

Did you notice that they lined him up at QB for about 10 plays and he threw exactly (hang on a minute...calculating) ZERO times. He cannot throw a football. Thats what lead to his change in positions and unfortunately the OC was new at the position this year and I don't think he really knew how to get the ball to him in space. Sucks but it was his best option under the circumstances.

I thought that may have been the reason, but wasn't certainly sure. Would have loved him at Bama this season if he could throw though

He did the right thing, but Jones should have gone. Both lost money.
