From personal experience I can assure you that that is true. I'm sorry

In all seriousness I think part of what him/Charles Barkley are saying is that as long as black people are going to blame white people/slavery for their failures, they aren't going to move forward.

There is credents to that, which I actually do agree with but guys like him make these comments and they tend to let other societal forces off the hook.

Didn't you serve in the military? Admit to being a tad bit biased

racist take that as validation for remaining socially stagnant.

Huh? No

Telling people to quit looking for racial scapegoats is hardly validation of continued racism from racists. It's telling people not to rail against racist boogeymen for their struggles and/or failures.

Bottom line, in 2017, the majority of folks aren't out to get you because you're black or any other minority.

The immediate ostracizing that occurs whenever a black person doesn't toe the liberal (or any other racially prevailing) party lines, though, is a very real thing. That's what Dez seemed to be addressing.

What is wrong with being sophisticated and black? Why do we associate those who choose the straight-and-narrow as not being "black enough?"

Bro, my siblings and I would get called sellouts by our cousins growing up because we "talked white."

Also once again I'm not black so it's coming from a different perspective, but this is absolutely crazy if this is the case.

9/11 changed the course of American history more so than any other action/event that has happened in my lifetime (26 years).

What most Blacks realize about Obama, is it doesn't matter the color, once thy get in office they don't give 2 shits about you.

Obama did nothing to help the Black Communities while in power. Not a damn thing, and those who are level headed will tell you as well.

Never said that didn't happen.

I was talking about TODAY. That just happens to a smaller percentage of black people today

Try being discriminated against, enslaved, terrorized, and marred for 200+ years and then get back to me

Bruh, you talked about TODAY in one post, then turned around and tried to call back 200 years to slavery in the very next post

I'm not upset with ya, but figure out how you want to frame your argument, then we can debate.

So you have been terrorized and enslaved? And whether you want to believe it or not, everyone has been discriminated against.

He has nothing to stand on. That's why he goes back to something that happened 200 years ago.
