If teams improve the most from week 1 to 2, then KC is the pick here. They looked great. I could see their D giving Peyton a tough game.

As a die hard Chiefs fan this one is tough.

Chiefs have beaten Peyton only 1 time in his entire career. (1 for 9) That was with the Colts.

My Chiefs have not beat him while at Denver (0-6).

Notes:

1. Sean Smith (Chiefs top CB) will be out tonight due to suspension. Marcus Peters (First round pick this year) will be tested. He did pick off Hoyer with the very first defensive snap of his career last week.

2. Eric Berry return game to KC. The crowd will obviously be jacked and to have him back AND pro bowl LB Derrick Johnson healthy this year helps.

3. Denver is beat up and getting older. CJ Anderson is not 100%, but Ronnie Hillman will fill in nice for them. Can they handle Dontario Poe though?

4. No more Wes Welker No more Julius Thomas. They killed the Chiefs in the past few years. However, the success is also due from Peyton's greatness. I don't miss them at all.

5. As an LSU graduate I loved D. Bowe and hated how he was stuck with garbage QB's in KC during his career. Chiefs fans obviously love Jeremy Maclin and will want to see the Chiefs open it up. Expect to see some play action tonight. DAT, JMAC, and Kelce have speed.

Since I am a homer it's hard to bet with your heart vs. your head. However, my gut tells me this is the game the Chiefs will win.
