Deion Sanders will fail tremendously at Colorado

He's a buffoon. A clown. He's a hype man.

What he's not is a grinder or a student of the game. Deion is not going to be up at 4 am watching film or installing 3rd and short defensive packages. There's a reason why the most successful coaches are boring, dry and dull- because they're working 75 hours a week. Meanwhile, Sanders is strutting around in a cowboy hat on the sidelines playing celebrity. This will help him get a few recruits and some media attention but that's not a viable solution for coaching success.

To those saying Colorado has nothing to lose, that's sorta true. But all this hire does is keep them from hiring the right coach. Three years from now they'll be back at rock bottom, only about $12M poorer.

Why do you want him to fail so bad? And why do you want to broadcast it?

Where did Deion touch you? Most people like Deion Sanders because he's teaching incredibly powerful messages to young men that will put them on a more productive path in life no matter what their future. Football success is certainly to be determined, but he's certainly providing an immense lift to the program and the school as a whole through his presence and positivity.

Even if they end up with several mediocre seasons it will be more than worth the money and time.

There's a way to succeed doing what Deion is doing, and that's to hire coordinators who are damn good at their jobs and let them do all the football work while you do all the CEO stuff. Has he done that? Can he do that? Time will tell.

Deion's never stayed anywhere longer than five years either as a player or a coach. Even if he is successful, he's going to be gone within five seasons anyway. He's not a long-term solution for any program.

It’s topical. He’s had 15 players enter the Portal since their Spring game on Saturday. 15. Some of them very good players.

The OP was just too stupid to bring that up.

Maybe but let’s not forget 2019 lsu football team. Lightning in a bottle can be found. I don’t think Deion is sustainable at one program.

In the real world (as opposed to your fantasy) he was highly regarded for his work ethic and football IQ

There’s no reason to signal to others that you’re retarded. Keep it to yourself

You actually think a hall of fame football player isn't a student of the game LOL

Yea, does the OP think Dabo is up at 4 AM breaking down the intricacies of the game? Hell no. He's scouring Tik Tok for ideas for his next ultra cringe video while the boosters splash the cash and the assistants coach.

I have serious doubts as to whether or not Deion can succeed as a head coach at the major college level, but to say he’s just a hype man or isn’t a student of the game is absurd.
