Well, the thread has devolved to mizzoukills knighting hard for his team. And for that he gets props. I am a Cubs fan, and I do hate the Cardinals, but not for what they do on the field. That can't be denied or ridiculed.
But for someone (Bob Nightingale) to write this article (which I hope was an elaborate troll) and actually believe it (like the Cardinals do) is astounding to me.
This line reverberates:
This is all in good fun, after all. Maybe not Magary's obsession with hating the Cardinals, but us fans using it in a back and forth.
I'll admit it just fine. I hate the goddamn St. Louis Cardinals and their mouthbreathing, toothless fandom. But I say that fully aware of my team and fandom's shortcomings.

St.Louis Cardinals own a large piece of DeaDSpins writers dome. They obsess on Cardinals, they talk about them all the time. They think trying to cut them down, make fun, or attack affects them.

I'm simply crucified for being just one of the legion of best fans in baseball who love everything about the best franchise in baseball - the St. Louis Cardinals. My love for all things Cardinals (including Taveras) is also my Achilles heel.
