Sorry if Germans and I am not going to read through 50 pages but did anyone else notice the post-race interview with Joey Lagano?

It looked like he tried to take a drink of his Coke with the lid still on.
The guys on TV were laughing and it looked like Lagano and the interviewer were laughing to.

Joey made a joke saying he doesn't have any friends, but the guys were laughing because it is true.

I'm going to buy me a monster energy drink this morning. They are helping give nascar the image it has needed for a long time and I need to contribute to them.

Wow... this thread scared the crap out of me when I saw 1000+ responses on a NASCAR thread; thought someone died on the track.

Parading all day so didn't see the race live.

Regarding the stage racing, well at least NASCAR is more honest about it then throwing a phantom debris caution...

The "stage" racing is a gimmick but at least teams can plan a strategy around it. It did happen to work for this race because the toyotas had an aggressive strategy and to a lesser extent the fords. I believe it made this Daytona a bit more interesting then having the field follow the leader for 99% of the race.

Also a note on Jimmy Johnson and Daytona... For as good as a driver he suppose to be he wrecks or cause of a wreck at Daytona way too often... This wreck they putting blame on McMurray but McMurray was doing that to everybody. I think Johnson's set up is way too loose for Daytona and why he is involved so much.

The same thing was happening to him in the Duels but he was able to save it the first time; yet he went out in Daytona with the same set up.

He does seem to wreck a lot at Daytona but I would say over 80% of the time it isn't his fault. The duel wreck was his fault, today certainly wasn't though

It sucked, at one point I watched for 1 1/2 hours to see probably 20 laps.

Got home from the 500 last night - had an absolute blast of a weekend even though the races were a total wreck fest.
Walking through the lions den of Dale Jr fans while wearing Keslowski gear was fun - had a few drunk idiots act like they were triggered by seeing 2 gear but 95% of it was harmless heckling. Hearing 100000 Dale fans scream in anger at the same time was pretty hilarious though. Pretty amazing how many people left after 88 wrecked - was in line for the commodes when 48 wrecked out. Right after that it was a solid line of people packed up and leaving - good seats too (trioval club). Even after Kes wrecked out I still hung around listening to Logano on the scanner.

Daytona certainly knew how to get the people out of the track after the race - a bit of a walk to the busses to the free parking lot but once we were at the bus staging area the lines moved really fast and had us at the lot and out of the lot in no time.

Oh - they let you bring in your own beer and food. How friggin awesome is that???

Really interested to see how the stage racing is going to work at the non-plate tracks. Didn't get a good vibe of it this weekend because of all the wrecks in Busch and Cup races.

Jimmy wrecking...

Jimmy at Daytona wrecking half the field... he's the one spinning and showing his arse...

Oh look, Jimmy wrecking again at Daytona...

Jimmy spinning again in front of McMurray. Like I said McMurray does this to everyone but JJ can't handle it...

Jimmy at a different track but shows how loose of a setup Jimmy favors...

It's ok if you are fanboy but Johnson is dangerous out there with his loose set up for Daytona...

All of the Hendrick cars have been having difficulty with the handling at the plate races in the last two years. When the change was made to less downforce, the entire Hendrick team was having problems which seemed to be corrected for Sunday. But McMurray caused three different cars to spin on Sunday. In everyone of your clips you showed of Jimmy Johnson wrecking McMurray was involved in everyone.

A lot of the drivers were commenting during the race at how dumb he was driving so early in the race. Just listen to any of the driver to crew discussions from Sunday and there were a large number of them commenting about how much of a dumbass he was.

So there is one common denominator in all of the wrecks and it wasn't Jimmy Johnson. Now who is the danger again?

First of all, wrecks are common at plate tracks. Ridiculously common. I don't care how loose or tight your car is, you're likely going to either cause a few or be involved in a few over the years.

Secondly, why the frick are you using clips where Jimmie (that's how you spell his name btw) clearly was not at fault? Your logic is that every wreck he's involved in is his fault because of his setup and ignoring all other factors. It's disingenuous and you know it.

Acting like "Johnson is dangerous out there," good Lord, gimme a goddamn break

Just preordered the chrone color race winner edition diecast. Won't get it for a while but that car is going to look more like a Bristol winner car.
