If we have a lead after 6, he REALLY needs to give the ball to Urkel. Use Pressly as a fireman mid-inning to get to him if needed. Keep the rest of these clowns off the damn mound.

I think that the last thing I posted in the DAT yesterday was something along the lines of, “Why is Pressly in this game?” I still don’t know the answer to that. I can somewhat understand using Graveman to let him get his feet wet in the postseason, but I wouldn’t have done it myself. You’ve let the opponent in a short series get a good look at your back end guys in what was a six run lead in the eighth. Pressly should’ve never even been up at that point, much less in the game. I’d really like to win it all this season, but I really don’t think this team can overcome its shitty bullpen or the lobotomized moves of FODB.
Let’s ride and see, though.

I agree. It’s a no win situation. Three scenarios.
A) he pitches a clean inning, looks good and you preserve the 5 run win. Outcome is he’s been used unnecessarily and won’t be as fresh as tomorrow, and you showed your hand to the Sox about your confidence in your other bullpen arms.
B) he struggles a bit allowing base runners but gets out of it and closes it out. Outcome is a little apprehension next time he’s needed and pitch count was high so definitely not as fresh.
C) he struggles, allows multiple base runners and runs and barely closes it out or hers pulled. Now you have a big confidence issue, a burned pitcher and a tad of momentum going to the Sox.

Who would the DAT have brought out for the 8th/9th inning last night? Stanek? Yimi? I didn't hate letting Graveman get a look. Hope he can fix whatever is wrong with him currently.

Personally, I would’ve left Maton in for the eighth and given Yimi the ninth if neither got into game threatening trouble. Yimi needs to get his feet wet, too.

Feel like with everyone predicting this series going 5 the White Sox would need to win today. I think we take 1 in Chicago.
Wonder if Lynn goes in game 4 or if they are comfortable with him in a potential game 5 at MMP where he’s gotten shelled both starts he’s had there this season
I agree with a previous post. Framber gets through 5 I’m thinking we see Greinke for 2-3. Then we can use Greinke again for a few innings later in the series. Urkel to start game 4
Might be dumb but I think Odorizzi would’ve been a good option to go through 2 innings (or one time through their order)
All in all, less true bullpen guys the better
