Correa' back. I don't like bregman in the two spot with Carlos in the lineup: put reddick back at #2 to make the pitcher have to adjust more.

Yall think this might be Fiers last start once McCullers comes back? Or do you think we move Morton and Peacock back?

Ideally, I think Morton and peacock go to long relief but that is assuming LMJ comes back with a fire under his arse

I can see a LMJ/peacock tandem here on out. Would be a pretty potent combo.

I see your point, but I think keeping Bregman in the 2-hole falls squarely in the category of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" right now.

And I teared up a little when I saw Verlander's name on the lineup card. I hope he is the piece that helps bring all of this together.

Morton will probably be long relief, but I'd rather him as the starter honestly, with McCugh, McCullers, Keuchel, and Verlander. I guess that doesn't matter because in the playoffs, I'm sure Verlander, Keuchel, and McCullers (if healthy), will get good innings. If McCugh, Fiers, or whoever starts in the playoffs, they won't pitch a ton of innings but will let the bullpen get some work in those games.

Fiers nibble, nibble, nibble and 10 pitches later-walk.

Throw strikes motherfricker!

Welp. Fiers is done. Can't really trust him down the stretch right now. Hitting and bullpen need to bail us out to win this game.

Bregman is still good at baseball.

Fiers walks 2 to lead off the game and two runs score.

I wonder if it's possible that Fiers is left off the playoff roster.

I just can't see any situation where he can be of value to the team. He's not starting ahead of Keuchel, Verlander, Peacock, Morton, or even McCullers.

I don't see where he has value out of the pen.
