I also feel like we could/should be talking with the Mets. They are so stacked with pitchers but are desperate for hitters. Why not try and send Singleton/Santana/another position player for Niese, Matz, Syndergaard, or deGrom? (Holy shite them plus Harvey is a fricking stacked rotation!)
You'd imagine any of the latter 3 would probably require a little more but still.
I'm pretty much open to trading any positional player outside of Phillips, Reed, any of our top picks from this years draft and for whatever reason I really like Andrew Aplin (although he's struggled since moving up) and think Nottingham could turn into something real so I'd like to hang on to them. I'm honestly fine with trading one of Tucker or Santana (preferrebly keep whichever we value higher)
As far as pitchers, McCullers has got to be pretty much untouchable at this point unless it's something ridiculous. Velasquez, Feliz, Musgrove, Devenski, and Hader are top 5 that I'd value most off the top of my head...with Musgrove being the one who I am most excited about.
I just hope that whether it's over the next month or the offseason, we start unloading this logjam and trade 2-3 prospects for some proven everyday talent instead of having 6 outfielders and 7 infielders that all rotate a couple of positions
I know all this shite about which prospects we should trade, etc has been discussed a lot but I hadn't seen much talk about looking at the Mets so I figured I'd throw in another pointless idea that'll never happen

Nice, I'm excited to see what he can do

Trading for Thor, deGrom or Matz would be like someone else trading for McCullers. I doubt we could pull that off

is jason castro a considerable upgrade defensively over conger? wondering why hank has been relegated to keuchel's personal catcher when he has better offensive numbers, albeit in <100 ABs.

You and I could steal on Hank Conger, Castro has been pretty solid defensively

Castro is elite defensively this year

For Niese, perhaps. But you can't get one of those top pitching prospects for spare parts like Singleton or a failed prospect.
Speaking of Conger, an epic ranking by Baseball America of the Angels' top prospects in 2010:
1. Hank Conger, c
2. Peter Bourjos, of
3. Mike Trout, of

Millar just said Cueto will be the first guy traded and he will go to Houston....Millar was in Houston for the last 3 days.

Luhnow said Hinch would have a roster announcement on Matt Thomas today. I like how he let the manager make it when he could have easily spilt it on the air. Welcome Straily, let's see what ya got.

Ok, done deal. Millar just predicted Cueto to Astros on Intentional Talk.
