Fiers will attempt to rebound from his worst outing of the season after surrendering seven runs in only 2 1/3 innings against the Cubs on Sept. 11. The Astros had won each of his four starts leading up to Sunday’s 9-5 loss.

quote:

The 27-year-old Canadian bounced back from a couple rough starts to throw six innings of two-run ball in a 3-2 win over the A’s on Sunday. He allowed six runs and nine hits in five innings in a loss to the Astros in Seattle in July.

Notables from last night:
Jake Marisnick had a multi-RBI night for the 3rd time this season, but second this month!
Sounds like Keuchel will only pitch again this season if the Astros make the playoffs. He's waiting to see how the Astros do in this Mariners Series.
Arlington, once again, got a ninth inning walk-off 2 run hit by Lucroy. Got Dammit I hate they occupy so much space in my head.

And, just a recap... here is a video summary of Fiers last start:

Astros with no hits or walks through 5 against Paxton.

Held Mariners to 1 run in 18 innings after they just rattled off 9 straight...impressive stuff.

I feel like you're a Steelers fan hoping the Browns sneak into the playoffs.

But we'll take it! #HouseMoney

McHugh and Fiers have a spot on the roster. They get the job done, are durable, and sometimes can be better than average.

Too many injuries................right?

Gotta keep expectations in check

A full season of yuli and bregs next year is going to be incredible I was skeptical after yuli'so slow start in the minors but he has shown to be what his billing was. Smart hitter hitting it to all fields. Has been clutch too
