I think it shows the mentality of this team led by its soft manager. We don't like valbuena's bat flip, which we know he does every time he makes contact. So, instead of retaliating with our bats, we want to throw at the guy, only we don't really want to hit him and potentially hurt him so we throw it way over his head only to groove the next pitch and let him cream it and get a double. We play and act like pussies and the excuse is always that it's one game and we have a big lead. Getting pretty sick of that excuse.

At some point they better start nutting up and show some fricking swagger. Throwing an 87 mph fastball 20 feet over a guy's head is not going to change anything.

The weight bearing guys like Keuchel and Reddick knew what was up at the trade deadline. There were many who were critical of their comments regarding management.

And on the flip side, McPussy and Gregerson were quick to say we're fine with the players that got us here. I bet the clubhouse can't wait to line up behind those two come playoff time.

No, if this team is to go down swinging, it will be on the shoulders of Verlander and Keuchel.

Is it time to promote the Fresno Hitting coach? How'd he get all these guys like Fisher and Davis and Centeno above .300?

No, it's time to make Sipp, Liriano, and Guduan useful.

Stop wasting their batting practice on the opposing teams.

Have them do game simulations prior to our starts against lefties.

They would be the highest priced human shields ever.

But you were talking about baseball usage. My bad.

I hope Luhnow and Hinch's formulas and breakdowns can calculate a lineup and roster by season's end.

There's only 17 games left after tonight, which doesn't give them much time to rest all the starters and pass out phantom 10 day DL stints.

But, I completely understand resting our top 2 RBI guys after their exhausting night of production last night.

Really disappointed in the leadership of this team. They obviously quit after fiers got shelled in the first. I thought Beltran was supposed to teach them how to not be pussies? Skaggs looking like Chris sale out there gtfo

Flipped to the game again before I hit the hay to see the score. Good game. Great effort.

What a shite show all around. Hinch throws Fiers instead of Martes/Johnny Wholestaff. Hinch puts out a lineup with a white flag from 5 down just to make sure we dont have a lefty in the lineup.

Team is taking the cue from the manager. Hunch isnt trying to win the game why should they?

Soo things are going well

Blew a 9th inning lead (8-9)
Got the shite kicked out of us (1-11)
Got the shite kicked out of us (4-11)
Got the shite kicked out of us (2-10)
Verlander (1-0)
Got the shite kicked out of us (1-9)

Outscored 41-9 over the last 5. 50 to 17 over the last 6.

Sounds like Jake is done. Headed back to Houston for further evaluation. AJ says it doesn't look good.

Fiers says he took Valbuena's bat flip as disrespectful. Didn't want to hit him but wanted to send a message.

AJ says he doesn't have anything to say about the warnings.

I'm not exactly impressed with maybin's center field defense. I think he plays too deep and a lot of outs are landing at his feet while he's standing up. I was fuming at the Lowrie walk off hit in the Oakland series. You have to dive and try to catch that. There's no choice but to lay out. He might be better served in left field late in games. Losing Jake is a blow to our late inning outfield defense for sure, and one less speed guy to sub on the bases.

I think his injury was apropos.

I choose to see it as Darwinism. Maybe not at its finest, but effective nonetheless.
