TOR: Happ (14-3 , 3.16 ERA)
HOU: Fiers (7-4 , 4.42 ERA)

This guy Happ looks lights out this year on paper.

quote:

Happ is 3-1 with a 3.50 ERA in six starts against the Astros, for whom he went 18-28 with a 4.84 ERA over parts of three seasons following his trade from the Phillies on July 29, 2010

Didn't look like he was good with the Astros.

Happ is very solid. Just hope Fiers comes out like he has with that determination but it won't mean anything if we don't score any runs

If we score 6 runs tonight ( ), we'll have scored more than the previous 5 games combined.

Bats will rise from the ashes. If not, we can just watch them burn.

Gomez has to start. Now I know I crossed over to the dark side, but based on the 5-9 lineup he is a stud. Sad indeed.

Reed and Bregman watch is still on, will either ever get a hit again? I'd say RBI but that would be asking too much.

Probably the best thing we got out of this series, a rally girl. Before this series there was like one or two Astros rally girls on google. Maybe this will encourage others to display their Astros gear.

When happ was with us he was so wild. Would always be behind 2-1 I don't know what changed with him. Even in the games with us that he pitched well he was never better than wild effective.

Happ will fricking DESTROY us tonight. With Fiers pitching for us tonight, this will be REALLY REALLY ugly. Happ won't shut us out, the dude will throw a perfect game against us, and I'm gonna look forward to witnessing this.

I agree with whoever said Marisnick should start. He's hot and right now, he's our 3rd best hitter.

I think since the beginning of July, he's only behind Tuve in batting average, granted, that's with 1/2 the plate appearances of our regulars.

What do we have to lose at this point? I'd rather see him batting instead of Colby right now.

ETA: Last 30 games for Jake and Colby:

Jake: 48PA .340/.354/.511 0.0%BB( ) 20.8%K
Colby: 62PA .052/.097/.155 4.8%BB 38.7%K ( )

And we continue to trot out Castro who is striking out a smooth 40% over the last month.

Christ almighty I would Marisnick over Rasmus in the lineup with zero hesitation. Only problem with that is that means Gomez plays. That's what happens when you have several terrible bats in the lineup.

Some of our fellow colleagues are conspicuously absent today. Cowards, they've jumped ship.

Sadly, I think it's too late for that in some cases.

I'm sure there are some posters losing some steam. Losing 7 of 9 will do that.

I might take the Rangers series off from watching. I have a busy weekend planned and need a break from this lineup

I'm losing steam. Not because I think the season is over, I just get so mad watching us score 1 run a game. There's still time to turn it around but the rookies need to have a breakthrough.
