Prayers and love continue to go out to the Houston area. Things will be brighter. Meanwhile let's BTSOOTR.

I haven't heard anything but I don't think there was. That side of downtown didn't flood.

Said they had water in some areas but pumped it out. Nothing of significance. They had a crew that stayed at mmp during the storm and pumped if things got bad.

Read on Twitter that MLB is going to try to determine today if the weekend series can be played at MMP.

I think they moved that series to New York. Could be wrong.

Edit: see High C's post.

And in the biggest surprise news of the day:

quote:

Justin Verlander set to start for #Tigers in less than 5 hours; at the moment, no indication that he will be scratched due to trade talks.

Meanwhile, Mariners traded for Leake.

I hope it is but I don't it's realistic at this point. Would love to be wrong. It would be nice for the city to have that here this weekend

If they play this weekend, or whenever the first home game back is, they should wear road gray jerseys that say "Houston." Only uniforms they say Houston instead of Astros. Would be a cool gesture.

Someone tweet that to Reid.

Hell yes! Now these motherfrickers need to show some pride. Reach down and find their balls and play like they lead the AL standings and are in the drivers seat for this final stretch run.

Other than Bregman they have been like a bunch of bleeding vaginas.

On that note, Bregman's BA has crept to within five points of Springer's.

Glad the guys will get to go home and check on families and personal belongings, if only for a few days.
